Isola degli opifici
History
The property takes its name from the evocative Borgo degli Opifici, the district that grew around the ancient paper mill of Subiaco, a place that for centuries preserved the history of labor and artisanal tradition of the city.
Here, one of the first paper productions in Italy was born, an activity that made Subiaco a center of great cultural and commercial importance.
Staying at Isola degli Opifici means immersing yourself in a village that preserves memories and traditions, without sacrificing the comfort of welcoming and modern spaces.
IN THE HEART OF THE ANCIENT CARLANI MILL
A place where history and nature meet
Isola degli Opifici is located within the building that once housed the former Carlani Mill, an integral part of this productive past and still a testament to the deep connection between the village and its history. The direct view of the river and proximity to the starting point for rafting activities create a lively and authentic setting, where nature, culture, and sport come together.
The project was born with the aim of offering genuine and functional hospitality, in harmony with the character of the village and the identity of Subiaco. Our six apartments are designed for curious travelers, nature and history lovers, who wish to experience the soul of this territory up close.
